TopView Camera

Substrate directed camera for target detection, fiducial alignment and quality assurance as powerful accessories for a BioSpot® liquid handling platform.

Dispense on target

The vision guided dispense on target function deposits a droplet where ever you want it to be.

Simply navigate the crossbar to your desired position on the spotting area and click the Dispense button in the software. A droplet will be delivered - exactly to your needs!

Thereby, customer specific substrate formats of any shape can easily be processed.

Image based quality control

Droplet verification after dispensing process

The integrated TopView camera can be applied to ensure the performance of your dispensing process. A simple batch command is programmed to capture images of your processed substrates and to store the images to your network for further analyses!

Automated substrate recognition and fiducial alignment

Vision supported substrate recognition for fully automated dispensing workflows

The TopView camera is applied to automatically recognize a previously taught substrate, well, array or any desired fiducial on your target area. The software algorithm considers the detected position(s) and automatically creates a dispensing protocol adapted to your needs. The executed protocol delivers as many as desired droplets of the desired volume to the target positions. A well suited example is our novel Microneedle coating process.
